SRS & Ramadevara Betta - 2 Hills covered on 1 Day

About SRS Betta:
Sri Revana Siddheshwara (SRS) Betta is about 3066 feet above sea level and has steps on the western side. There are 3 temples on the hill & one at base. There is small pond of water beside the main temple. The place is rich in history right from the Gangas to Kempegowda and Tipu Sultan.

Trip Outline:-
3 Bikes - Pulsar, Hunk, Royal Enfield & Maruti Swift with total of 9 members started from RR Nagar arch by 7:10am. Reached Ramanagara by 8:30am & stopped at Mayura hotel. Everyone had breakfast - Idly, Vada. Later drove to SRS Betta. Reached base by 9:20am.

Twist of the event: Shop keepers told that, foot wear is not allowed as it is holy place. So everyone removed shoes & started trekking through the steps bare foot. Visited the temple at base of the hill & followed the steps which leads to the top.

We reached the top of the hill within 45mins. This was unexpected one too. When we reached the top, we saw 360 degrees view of nature without any obstacle  It was AWESOME. We can see lot of hills around the place. Relaxed for sometime & took lot of pictures. There is a pond which we can see from top of the hill with trees nearby. Sun started showing his effect.
We have plenty of time left out & decided that, we will cover one more hill today. We started descending by 11am as our foot starting feeling the sun effect. On the way, we saw few folks came with foot wear. Even we saw a Foreigner too trekking to top of hill. We had nice photos while descending & reached base of hill. The closer we reach the base, rock is becoming hotter. Literally, we ran in some places to avoid the heat. We relaxed for sometime at parking on our vehicles. Freshen up & moved towards Ramadevara Betta.

About Ramadevara Betta:-
Ramadevara Betta (Hill) is a Hindu shrine rising more than 3000 feet. Lord Ram is said to have visited here during his 14 years exile. There is a Ram temple at the top of the hill. It will give you an awesome feeling as you approach the hill. It is here the 1975 super hit movie Sholay was shot. This betta is in Ramanagara.
We drove back to Ramanagara & to Ramadevara Betta. We reached there by 12:30pm. Parking place was full of bikes & few cars. We parked our vehicles below shadow & started moving through steps. After few breaks, we reached Anjaneya temple. By that time, 1 group of 12-15 members are coming down with luggage's  After enguiry came to know that, they have done Rock climbing & returning back. We missed it.

Went to Mandapa & relaxed for sometime. Had our lunch - Palav which was not sufficient. We shared the snacks. Later, decided to trek one of the hill. So, everyone moved towards it & on the way we took lot of pictures. We reached the steps & few stayed down. Rest of them ascended & came back after sometime. Took few pictures on the top & surroundings.
Few shots from the top of the hill came very well - Train going through Ramanagara, Grass on adjacent hill, Greenish & Brownish colored trees. As temperature is increasing, we descended down & relaxed for sometime.
It was 3pm & we decided to return back to Bangalore. Few went inside temple for Darshan. Later, we had a group picture.
We descended down & sat sometime at parking place. As we have new version of Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350, everyone started taking pictures with it. Once all photoshoots are done, we started back to Bangalore in hot sun. Reached Bidadi & stopped for Thatte Idly which is very famous. Everyone had it which was very good along with cool drinks. I got Idly which looks like Heart shape. Once we are done, drove back to Bangalore. Everyone wishes each other & dispersed to their respective locations.
